The CLEAR Act

Representing AFFTA's interest, AFFTA Legislative Liaison Jeff More presented this Land and Water Conservation Fund Support Letter to the House Natural Resources Committee, Chaired by Congressman Rahall.  The CLEAR Act (HR 3534) went to the committee the second week of July and this legislation should be on the House Floor before the August Recess.  This legislation would provide $900 million annually for the Land and Water Conservation Fund -- see attached legislative language.  Jeff will continue to keep AFFTA's Government Affairs Committee posted as the legislative process surrounding the Gulf Oil Spill plays out.
