AFFTA Pushes for Duty Rate Reduction

Mike Gawtry, AFFTA board member and chair of the Government Affairs Committee for AFFTA writes that it is the committee’s focus for this year is to try and get a duty-rate reduction on rubber-soled boot foot waders and rubber-soled wading shoes. Working closely with AFFTA’s Legislative Advocate Jeff More and OIA’s Alex Boian, the GAA and OIA are trying to get the four bills attached here enacted through the MTB process. They are currently pending in the Senate, but the future of an MTB is very uncertain.
