Katie Cole, with National FlyFishing in Schools Program advises that there are numerous NFFSP Level 1, Teacher Training sessions scheduled through mid-June. Some are taking place “right pronto” and others give you a little more lead time.

Each session is 8 hours. The purpose is to certify individuals as a Certified NFFSP Teacher, enabling them to teach the “Cast A Fly, Catch A Student” Curriculum of the “FlyFishing in Schools” program in middle school, high school or other institution.

  • Wednesday & Thursday, May 26 & 27 . . . Reno, Nevada (4 – 8 PM both nights)
  • Wednesday, June 2nd . . . Spearfish, South Dakota (7:30 AM – 4 PM)
  • Saturday, June 19 . . . Nisswa/Brainerd, Minnesota (7:30 AM – 4 PM)

The fee is $50/person, which will later be applied to the Curriculum Kit cost once the NFFSP program is installed in a school/institution.
